Spike is the cactus plant manager which is just right for his leisurely life style. He enjoys low activity pottering - reading Cactus Weekly and watching cactus grow. His long-term ambition is to visit a desert. Spike’s best friend is Pedro who knows all the top cactus songs. Alice looks after cuttings and sings plant nursery rhymes to the propagation classes. She also does early learning exercises for seedlings. Alice doesn’t like Pedro’s music or Mexican food and doesn’t understand his Spanish love songs.
